Meet John, the owner.
At the heart of Cult 4×4 is John, the owner and driving force behind our success. A true Land Rover enthusiast with over 15 years of experience, John turned his passion into a thriving business after a frustrating search for a trusted local specialist.
“I’m a Land Rover nut who got into the business out of frustration—I couldn’t find a local specialist I felt confident with,” says John.
With a background in motor mechanics and decades of running his own successful building company, John combines technical expertise with unending commitment to customer service. His journey started with a single Defender restoration, which quickly gained momentum thanks to his no-nonsense approach, attention to detail, and ability to listen to what clients really need.
“When you meet me, you’ll realize I’m all about understanding your needs. What will the vehicle be used for? Leisure? Business? Both? From there, I can create a plan and deliver a Defender that’s truly yours for life.”
Today, Cult 4×4 operates from Suffolk, serving clients across the UK, Europe, and the USA. John’s hands-on approach, combined with his team’s expert craftsmanship, ensures every project—whether a restoration, custom build, or upgrade—is completed to the highest standard.
“If a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly,” John says, a philosophy that drives everything at Cult 4×4—from the smallest repair to a full Defender rebuild.
